I-CLIME Sustainability for Habitat Homeowners

Rajan Bhatt, MD, a Scottsdale, Arizona physician, is the founder and CEO of three health-based companies – Spectrum Dermatology, Spectrum Plastic Surgery, and Valley Surgery Center. In his free time, Dr. Rajan Bhatt supports Habitat for Humanity.

In October 2020, Habitat for Humanity announced that it would partner with Trane Technologies to provide resources for Habitat homeowners to maintain energy-efficient homes. Named Indoor Climate and Maintenance Education (I-CLIME), the program is expected to empower homeowners by arming them with information to better care for their property.

The cost to run a house typically includes heating, cooling, and maintenance. I-CLIME was established to help homeowners understand and deal with these costs.

The campaign will involve education, volunteers, and fundraising. It will teach appliance care and preventative maintenance while covering topics such as warranties and strategies for promoting indoor air quality and energy efficiency. Trane Technology employees will also volunteer at Habitat home construction sites and engage in fundraising.
